Run analog CCTV video over UTP cable
This passive video balun pair converts the balanced signal path needed to carry compatible analog HD CCTV video through one twisted pair in Cat5e/Cat6 UTP cable. One balun connects near the camera and the other near the DVR/XVR.
Compatibility
- Compatible analog HD camera/DVR formats where supported, including TVI, CVI, AHD or CVBS
- BNC video connection at each endpoint
- One matched twisted pair in suitable UTP cable
Important clarification
This product does not convert an analog camera into an IP camera. It does not provide Ethernet networking or PoE power. Camera power requires a separate suitable supply and power cable or a specifically designed power-transmission solution.
Installation guidance
Use the same twisted pair at both ends, maintain correct polarity, keep joints dry and secure, and avoid running low-voltage signal cable beside high-voltage power wiring. Achievable distance and image quality depend on camera format, resolution, cable quality, interference and installation conditions.
